Privacy
How we handle your field. Short version: we collect the minimum, we never sell, and your scans stay yours.
What we collect
Account basics (email, display name) when you sign up. Scan metadata (item type, vitality score, resonance Hz, timestamp) so your Field Journal works across devices. Anonymous diagnostics so we can keep the scanner accurate. We do not collect contacts, location, or microphone data.
Living-being scans
Scans of humans, animals, and plants are not cached. The reading appears on your screen, is added to your private journal if you choose, and is not retained on our servers in any identifiable form. Energy fields shift constantly, so re-scan anytime.
Face data
1. What face data the app collects: None. VitaliScore does not collect, store, or transmit face data of any kind. The app does not use facial recognition, face identification, face mapping, face geometry, face landmarks, face embeddings, or any facial biometric template. We do not use ARKit face tracking, the TrueDepth API, Apple Vision face analysis, MediaPipe Face Mesh, or any equivalent face detection or face analysis framework on iOS or Android.
2. All planned uses of face data: None. There are no planned uses of face data. When a human scan is performed, the live camera feed is processed on-device for ambient energy-field readings only. No face image, face crop, face embedding, or face-derived signal is generated, retained, or used for any feature, advertising, analytics, model training, account identification, or any other purpose.
3. Sharing with third parties and storage location: No face data is shared with any third party (including Perplexity or any AI provider, advertiser, analytics vendor, or affiliate). No face data is stored, not on the device beyond the live camera frame being processed, not on our servers, not in our database, not in cloud storage, not anywhere. There is no face data to share or store because none is collected.
4. Retention period: Zero. No face data is retained for any length of time. Live camera frames are discarded immediately after on-device processing of the ambient energy-field reading. The retention period is not applicable because no face data is ever produced.

Health and safety information sources
When VitaliScore surfaces health, safety, toxicity, or regulatory information about a scanned item, we draw from public authoritative sources such as the FDA, CDC, WHO, IARC, EPA, EFSA, ECHA, ASPCA, USDA, and USGS. Camera and photos
The camera is used in real time to read the scene and is never recorded or uploaded. Photos you choose to attach to a journal entry are stored on managed cloud image hosting, encrypted at rest, and are only accessible to you. Attached photos are not shared with third-party AI providers.
Third-party AI services
VitaliScore uses third-party AI providers (including Perplexity) to power contextual lookups such as legal and regulatory information about scanned items. When this feature runs, we send only the lookup query and minimal item context (for example, item name or category). We do not send your account identity, your raw scan photos, or your Field Journal. These providers process requests transiently and, under our agreements, do not use your data to train their models.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never share your personal scans with advertisers. We never use your private scans to train third-party models, and we never send your raw scan photos or journal entries to third-party AI providers. We never share your information with employers, insurers, or health providers.
Your controls
You can export your Field Journal at any time, delete individual scans, or delete your entire account from inside the app. Account deletion permanently removes your data within 30 days.
Children
VitaliScore is intended for users 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted on managed cloud infrastructure. Access to production systems is limited to a small number of engineers and is audited.
